Passionate about supporting writers from all walks of life? Feeling a desire to connect with your local NYC community, and beyond? CA/T is a great way to get involved, and to develop your teaching skills in a supportive, collaborative environment! As an instructor, you'll get the chance to creatively engage with New Yorkers of all different backgrounds, while expanding your own writing and teaching skills. 

Each September, we welcome interested teaching-artists to express their interest in a CA/T teaching artist residency placement. Our program is open to all currently enrolled Columbia MFA Writing candidates, with placement priority for candidates in their first and second-year. Whether you have an abundance of experience or are new to teaching, you are welcome; we work hard to match you with residency sites that align with your experience and passions.
